It is with great sadness that the family of Ryan Edward Comer announces his passing. He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, grandson, and friend. Ryan passed away on June 30th, 2023, at the age of 47, from a fatal plane crash. Ryan was born October 11th, 1975, in Minneapolis, MN, to Greg & Jeannie Comer.
Ryan was many things to many people; above all else, Ryan was a loving husband to his soul mate of 25 years, Julie, a devoted father to his children Brayden, Jaelyn, and Landen, an exceptional son to his parents Jeannie, Greg, and stepmother Kitty, as well as a caring son-in-law to Bruce and Kim. He was also a remarkable brother to Chris (Janya), Corey (Lisa), and Clint, a beloved uncle to numerous nieces and nephews and an adored grandson to Fern. His presence brought joy and warmth to all family gatherings.
Ryan was bigger than life. His vibrant personality and zest for life lit up any room he entered. Within minutes of meeting him, he would make you feel valued, important, and heard, as though you had known him forever. He had an entrepreneurial spirit that knew no bounds, and he set goals for himself that no obstacle could hold him back from achieving. He had a personal motto, "Make It Happen," which he made legendary in his life and house, inspiring those around him to strive for greatness.
Ryan's biggest joy was his family, but next to that was his love of flying; he was a true aviation nut and kid at heart. His involvement in the community extended beyond his personal pursuits, as he had a passion for coaching youth sports, among other things, and loved making a positive impact wherever he could. He always made time for everyone to lend an ear or offer a helping hand to those in need. He was charming, kind, caring, loving, outgoing, generous, inspiring, and a role model to many. He had the biggest smile and was so full of life. He was truly selfless and received the most joy in taking care of his family and helping others. Ryan lived every minute to the fullest.
His business success was second-to-none due to his exceptional leadership, genuine relationships, and one-of-a-kind work ethic. Ryan always attributed his success to the invaluable contributions of his amazing team. He has made an enduring imprint on the business world for entrepreneurs everywhere and left a permanent mark of love and gratitude in the hearts of everyone he encountered.
Ryan is survived by his wife Julie; his children Brayden, Jaelyn, and Landen; his parents Jeannie Comer and Greg and Kitty Comer; In-laws Bruce and Kim Leitheiser; his brothers Chris (Janya) Comer, Corey (Lisa) Comer, and Clint Leitheiser, several nieces and nephews, Grandma Fern Vescio, numerous relatives, and many dear friends. Ryan's indomitable spirit and unwavering dedication have touched us all, leaving a legacy that will forever guide our paths.
